Komatsu confirms mid-October as 'last call' for Qatar and Abu Dhabi as Imola prepares

Formula 1 teams have been told they may need to wait until mid-October before the sport makes a final decision on where the 2026 season will finish. Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu and Audi counterpart Mattia Binotto confirmed the new deadline during Thursday's team principals' press conference at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix . F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali had originally set the deadline at mid-September back in July, but that date passed without a decision.
