Kogi Governor Gifts 1,490 Corps Members 20,000 Each

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo, has donated ₦20,000 each to 1,490 National Youth Service Corps members deployed to the state, amounting to ₦29.8m. The donation is intended to support the corps members with transportation and other immediate needs as they commence their primary assignments across the state. This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Information Officer, Kogi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, James Sani. Ododo made the donation during the closing ceremony of the 2026 Batch ‘B’, Stream II NYSC Orientation Course held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Asaya, Kabba, Kogi State. Represented at the ceremony by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Aridaojo Anyebe, the governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for youth development and empowering young people to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of the state.
