Kodangal Lift Irrigation project to be ready by Oct. 2028

The Makthal-Narayanpet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Project is likely to be completed by October 2028, with the Phase-I works to be over by December 2027 and Phase-II by October 2028, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was informed.

Mr. Revanth Reddy chaired a review meeting of the progress of irrigation projects in his Kodangal constituency on Friday. Officials briefed the Chief Minister on the progress of the project and said pump house works were being expedited in accordance with the directions issued at the previous review meeting.

The Chief Minister directed officials to invite tenders for Phase-II works at the earliest. He also asked the departments concerned to furnish complete details of the budget required for the project every year so that adequate funds could be provided to accelerate its execution. He also asked them to complete the pending land acquisition works related to the project without delay.
