Kmart reveals opening date for biggest New Zealand store at Auckland’s Westgate Town Centre

Kmart is opening its largest New Zealand store in Auckland's Westgate Town Centre this September. The 6,700sq m location will be the first to feature the retailer's new 'Plan C+' format and will operate 24 hours a day.

Discount department chain Kmart will open its largest New Zealand store at Westgate Town Centre in Auckland next month.
The 6700sq m store, which opens at 8am on September 10, will be the retailer’s first Plan C+ format in New Zealand and third 24-hour store.
The Plan C+ format combines refreshed store layouts, enhanced product coordination, and new service options and technology to make shopping more convenient for customers.
Kmart said the new store will create more than 200 local jobs.
Kmart Group managing director Aleks Spaseska said the new Westgate store reflected the chain’s ongoing investment in New Zealand and confidence in the market’s future.
