KLE Tech gets four-star rating in IIC assessment

KLE Technological University in Hubballi has achieved a four-star rating in the 2024–25 Institution’s Innovation Council assessment. The university significantly improved its score by focusing on entrepreneurship, start-up culture, and innovation-related activities.

KLE Technological University (KLE Tech), Hubballi, has secured a four-star rating in the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) assessment for 2024–25, scoring 85.17 out of 100, marking a significant improvement over its three-star rating in the previous academic year.
According to a press release issued by KLE Tech, the university scored 54 out of 100 in 2023–24. The latest score represents an improvement of 31.17 points, reflecting its efforts to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and start-up culture among its students, faculty and staff.
The IIC, an initiative of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, encourages higher education institutions to undertake activities in innovation, ideation, intellectual property rights, start-ups and entrepreneurship. Institutions are assessed on the quality and extent of their activities.
