Kirby India to set up manufacturing unit at Manapparai SIPCOT

Kirby Building Systems and Structures India is launching a new manufacturing facility in Manapparai, Tamil Nadu, to produce pre-engineered steel buildings. The project is expected to create over 200 jobs and begin commercial operations by mid-2027.

Kirby Building Systems and Structures India, a subsidiary of the multinational company Alghanim Industries, is set to launch its latest manufacturing facility in the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) premises at Manapparai.
At a press conference held in Tiruchi to mark the ground-breaking ceremony of the project on Saturday, Waleed K. Alghanim, chief executive officer of Kirby International, said, “This investment is an important part of strengthening our presence in Southern India and bringing us closer to customers in one of the country’s most dynamic industrial regions.”
The company is a leading provider of pre-engineered steel buildings (PEB), and structural steel solutions. The proposed facility in Manapparai will have a built-up area of 8 lakh square feet, with an annual manufacturing capacity of 1,00,000 tonnes. It is to be developed on approximately 33.2 acres.”
Officials said that commercial operations are expected to begin by mid-2027.
