King relishing a physical battle against the Boks

Ireland's women's rugby captain Erin King is preparing her team for a physical Test match against South Africa in Cape Town. The match is part of the WXV Global Series, with both teams looking to improve their recent international performance.
Why it matters
International women's rugby continues to grow in profile, and high-stakes matches between diverse nations help develop the sport's global competitiveness.
Erin King insists Ireland won't "shy away" from the physicality of South Africa when the sides meet in their first ever women's Test in Cape Town on Saturday.
Scott Bemand's side continue their WXV Global Series campaign with a two-Test series against the Springbok women at the Athlone Stadium, following on from their home games against USA and Japan last month.
The South Africans have been quite inconsistent in recent moths, with wins against Spain and Italy offset by a heavy defeat against Wales, while they were also beaten 52-20 by New Zealand in early September.
But King says Ireland are preparing for the best version of the Boks this weekend, which means an attritional battle in Cape Town.
"I think physicality is what will probably win it this weekend and something that we definitely don't shy away from," King said.
