Kindiki to host Murang’a leaders for consultative meeting

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has announced plans to host Murang’a leaders for a consultative meeting on Thursday aimed at discussing development priorities and the implementation of the government’s agenda in the region.

Kindiki revealed the planned meeting on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, while speaking during a public participation exercise in Murang’a County.

He said the meeting would bring together local leaders to review development priorities and ensure the government delivers on commitments contained in the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) manifesto.

“Tomorrow, I will be meeting Murang’a leaders. We will talk about development in the region and not politics. We have to make sure that the UDA campaign manifesto has been fulfilled and we are ready,” Kindiki said.

The Deputy President said the government would prioritise major infrastructure projects in the region, including the Bombo–Gwa Thamaki Road, which he said would cost the government billions of shillings.
