A grand jury has formally indicted Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann 's 15-year-old son for alleged sex crimes.

Kroy "KJ" Biermann Jr. was indicted on seven felony charges in a Georgia court Tuesday, Sept. 3, according to documents obtained by USA TODAY. He faces one count of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy and false imprisonment, as well as three counts of aggravated sexual battery against a child under 16.

The charges stem from an alleged incident that occurred in April, during which Biermann is accused of "intentionally" and "unlawfully" engaging in sexual acts with a teen girl without her consent, per the indictment.

Biermann, who filed a motion for his release on Sept. 2, is currently in jail, being held without bond. His next court date is set for Sept. 8.
