KIHT hosts international fellowship on Health Technology Assessment VISAKHAPATNAM Evaluating medical innovations requires robust scientific evidence on clinical efficacy and economic value to guide sustainable healthcare policies, experts said at the Kalam Institute of Health Technology (KIHT). The institute, which functions as a World Health Organization (WHO) collaborating centre for health innovation at the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ), concluded its six-day 11th International Fellowship on Health Technology Assessment (HTA) at the World Trade Centre on the AMTZ campus on Saturday. The capacity-building initiative brought together healthcare professionals, clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and academicians to strengthen their skills in evidence-based healthcare decision-making. Over six days, participants underwent intensive training covering global HTA frameworks, systematic reviews, budget impact analysis, network meta-analysis, and health equity. The curriculum also incorporated practical modules on machine learning applications, decision-modelling, and causal inference through interactive case studies.
