Kigezi leaders mourn businessman Christopher Mulenga
Leaders from the Kigezi sub-region in Uganda are mourning the death of prominent businessman and NRM party pillar Christopher Mulenga. Colleagues and political figures have praised his legacy of unity, patriotism, and service to the community.

A section of leaders from Kigezi sub-region have described the late Christopher Mulenga as a successful businessman, great pillar of the NRM party and champion of unity.
Mulenga died on Friday at around 6pm at a private health facility in Kabale town. He had been battling diabetes for a long time, according to his son Mr John Ngarukiye who estimated his age to be between 82 and 84. He is survived by 12 children, about 30 grandchildren and about 5 great-grandchildren.
"The people of Kigezi mourn the passing of Omutware Christopher Mulenga, a great pillar of the Movement and a champion of unity in Kabale, Kigezi and Uganda. He was a patriotic, hardworking, humble, generous and successful businessman who dedicated his life to serving and uplifting others," former Prime Minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda said.
