Patna court on Saturday extended its interim protection from arrest for educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, in connection with the coaching institute firing case.The matter has now been listed for hearing on June 30, when the court is expected to hear final arguments.The case stems from a firing incident earlier this month after Khan Sir's coaching institute was allegedly vandalised by a group of miscreants. His security guards are accused of opening fire during the violence.Khan Sir was subsequently named in the FIR, though the court had granted him protection from arrest on June 9.'No coercive action' During the hearing, the investigating officer submitted the updated case diary, following which the court deferred the matter to Tuesday."The updated case diary has been submitted by the investigating officer. The matter has been listed for arguments on Tuesday, and the 'no coercive action' order against Khan Sir will remain in force till then. The final hearing is expected to take place on that day," his lawyer, Arvind Kumar Mouar, told reporters.He added that Khan Sir has been cooperating fully with the police and the investigating officers throughout the probe.What's the case? According to the complaint, a group allegedly entered the premises, vandalised property, tore down banners and posters, assaulted security personnel and triggered panic by allegedly opening fire.Following a complaint filed by Khan Global Studies, police arrested the director of a rival coaching institute along with several associates. However, the investigation took a dramatic turn after a video surfaced purportedly showing two security guards firing shots into the air during the chaos. The guards were subsequently arrested, and during questioning allegedly claimed they had acted on Khan Sir's instructions.
