Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has expressed gratitude to his Nairobi counterpart Edwin Sifuna for supporting him with Sh500,000 following the death of his wife, Gloria Khalwale.
Speaking during Gloria’s burial ceremony in Kakamega on Friday, Khalwale said Sifuna gave him the money after learning of his wife’s death, helping the family meet some of the expenses involved in the burial preparations.
“Edwin, learning of the death of my wife, gave me half a million (Sh500,000), which helped with the burial preparations,” Khalwale said.
Khalwale thanked Sifuna and others who stood with him and his family during the difficult period following the loss of his wife.
Sifuna, who is also the Linda Mwananchi movement leader, was among political leaders and other allies who attended the burial ceremony.
