‘Khalifa’: Prithviraj Sukumaran’s action thriller to release on this date

A new poster of Khalifa , an action-thriller starring Prithviraj Sukumaran , was unveiled via the actor’s Instagram handle on Monday (July 27). The film, directed by Vysakh and produced by Jinu V Abhraham and Suraj Kumar, is set to release on August 20, clashing with Nivin Pauly-starrer Bethlehem Kudumba Unit and Dulquer Salman’s I’m Game .
The film, with the tagline, “Vengeance will be written in gold,” is also penned by Jinu. In the poster, the protagonist is seen walking with an entourage with the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai in the backdrop. Prithviraj plays Aamir Ali, a gold smuggler in the film. Veteran actor Mohanlal plays Mambarakkal Ahmed Ali, Aamir’s grandfather, in the film, which will release in two parts.
