The three-week induction programme for first-year students of the Faculty of Engineering at Khaja Bandanawaz University concluded with a valedictory function held on Friday.
Addressing the gathering, Dean of Engineering Subhas Kamal urged the students to set high academic goals and strive for distinction.
He said the university had introduced a new curriculum and advised the students to avoid backlogs, maintain a minimum CGPA of 8, and ensure regular attendance, noting that 80% attendance is mandatory. He also cautioned students against missing classes.
Assistant Dean of Student Welfare Maroof highlighted the importance of disciplined learning and urged the students to respect their teachers.
He said learning is a continuous process and encouraged students to strengthen the technical skills related to their respective branches of engineering. He stressed the need to cultivate a research-oriented mindset.
