Khadi special rebate sale begins in Madurai

Floral tributes to portraits and statues of Mahatma Gandhi marked Gandhi Jayanti celebrations in Madurai on Friday. A number of events was organised at the Gandhi Memorial Museum as part of the birth anniversary celebrations.
On account of Gandhi Jayanti and ahead of the Deepavali celebrations, a special discount sale was inaugurated by Madurai Collector Nishant Krishna at the Khadi Kraft Centre on West Masi Street.
The Collector garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and paid floral tributes. MLAs Madhar Badhurudeen and A. Kallanai, Deputy Mayor T. Nagarajan and Corporation Commissioner Gaurav Kumar were present.
