Khadi special rebate sale begins in Dindigul, Theni
Collectors in Dindigul and Theni have inaugurated special Deepavali discount sales at local Khadi Kraft outlets to promote traditional handloom products. The government has set ambitious sales targets for this year, building on the success of previous holiday seasons.

On account of Gandhi Jayanti and ahead of the Deepavali celebration, a special discount sale was inaugurated at the Khadi Kraft retail outlets in Dindigul and Theni districts on Friday (October 2, 2026).
In Dindigul, Collector Durgamoorthi paid floral tributes and garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi on Dindigul Corporation premises. She inaugurated the special discount sale at the Khadi Kraft outlet.
In order to promote Khadi products, a special discount of 30% has been announced on Khadi and silk products. Last year, during the Gandhi Jayanti and Deepavali season, Khadi products worth ₹45 lakh were sold in Dindigul district. A sales target of ₹50 lakh has been set for this year.
