Why it matters
It protects job applicants from financial exploitation and ensures the integrity of public sector recruitment.
Samagra Shiksha State Project Director B. Srinivasa Rao has advised candidates not to trust brokers or intermediaries who claim they can secure jobs in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs). In a statement, Mr. Rao said a notification was recently issued for recruitment to 299 contractual posts of principals , post-graduate teachers (PGTs), contract residential teachers (CRTs) and physical education teachers (PETs) in KGBVs across the State. “The recruitment process is completely automated and merit-based. Selection will be made solely on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in their SSC, Intermediate, Degree, B.Ed., Post-Graduation, and B.P. Ed. qualifications,” he said, adding that candidates with higher merit scores would be selected and that there was no scope for recommendations, influence or inducements in this process.
