Keychron previously teased the V6 Ultra Hybrid, a new wireless hybrid keyboard that is compatible with both magnetic and mechanical switches, and the company has now officially launched the new keyboard on Kickstarter with a pledge goal of $30,000. Merely a day after launching on the crowdfunding platform, the V6 Ultra Hybrid has managed to accrue over $166,000 from 926 backers.
The Keychron V6 Ultra Hybrid is compatible with both regular MX-style 3- or 5-pin mechanical switches and more modern, gaming-oriented magnetic switches, thanks to its TMR sensing tech. The keyboard has a built-in mechanism to automatically detect whether mechanical or magnetic switches are installed in a given socket and automatically switch between mechanical or magnetic mode without human intervention.
