The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will convene a critical stock-taking meeting of key stakeholders of India’s men’s cricket teams at its headquarters here on Thursday.
It is understood that the meeting will seek to take a deep dive into the issues that have affected India’s performances of late and chart a roadmap through to next year’s ODI World Cup, including a possible extension of chief selector Ajit Agarkar’s tenure.
Multiple sources in the BCCI have confirmed that head coach Gautam Gambhir, Agarkar, Centre of Excellence head of cricket V.V.S. Laxman, captains Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer, and BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia will attend the meeting in person. Two key BCCI executives are also expected to be present, while some other office-bearers may join via videoconference.
