Key accused in Somangalam ATM burglary nabbed in Jaipur
Police have arrested one suspect in connection with a ₹9 lakh ATM burglary near Somangalam, Tamil Nadu. The suspect was apprehended in Jaipur, while authorities continue to search for the remaining four members of the gang.

A special police team probing the burglary of ₹9 lakh from an ATM near Somangalam has traced the gang to Haryana, with one of the five suspected robbers arrested by Jaipur police in a separate case.
Police said interrogation with the accused confirmed his involvement in the ATM robbery along with four others, who are on the run. The robbery took place at an ATM of a private bank near Somangalam last month. The ATM is located in a commercial complex on the Somangalam–Padappai Road.
According to police, the gang entered the ATM centre around 4 a.m. and used a crowbar and gas-cutting equipment to break open the machine and steal ₹9 lakh. Before carrying out the robbery, the suspects allegedly disconnected the alarm system and surveillance camera wires.
