KETRACO, EPRA, Geothermal Development Company get new bosses

The Ministry of Energy and Petroleum has appointed new heads of Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (KETRACO), Geothermal Development Company (GDC) and Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA), with the changes taking effect immediately. CPA Tom Odhiambo Imbo will now head KETRACO as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, while Stephen Kipsang Busieney takes over as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of GDC and Eng. Edward Mwirigi Kinyua becomes the Director General of EPRA. The appointments were approved by Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi pursuant to the provisions of the State Corporations Act, Cap 446, the Companies Act, Cap 486 and the Energy Act, Cap 314. Wandayi said the appointments followed rigorous recruitment processes undertaken by the respective Boards of Directors of KETRACO, GDC and EPRA.
