KERC to hold public hearings on draft electricity supply regulations in Belagavi, Sirsi and Hubballi

The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) has scheduled public hearings in Belagavi, Sirsi, and Hubballi to discuss the draft Karnataka Electricity Supply Regulations, 2026. Stakeholders are invited to submit their suggestions and objections regarding the proposed changes.

The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) will hold public hearings in Belagavi, Sirsi and Hubballi on the draft Karnataka Electricity Supply Regulations, 2026, according to the General Manager (Technical) of the Hubballi Electricity Supply Company (Hescom).
The commission notified the draft regulations on August 14, 2026, and has invited suggestions and objections from stakeholders and members of the public.
The first hearing will be held at 11 a.m. on October 7 at the new Zilla Panchayat Auditorium at Court Compound, Khade Bazar, Belagavi. Stakeholders from the Belagavi and Vijayapura districts can participate in the hearing.
For stakeholders from the Uttara Kannada district, a hearing will be held at 11 a.m. on October 8 at the office of the Superintendent Engineer (Electrical), Operations and Maintenance Circle, KPTCL premises, Sirsi.
