Keralam will conduct special recruitment if marginalised sections are inadequately represented in govt. service, says Chief Minister
Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan announced that the state will conduct special recruitment drives to ensure adequate representation of marginalized sections in government service. The government plans to review recruitment data every three years to address imbalances, particularly for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Dalit Christians.

The State government will conduct special recruitment if it is found that marginalised sections do not have adequate representation in government service, Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan has said.
The government will examine recruitment made through the Kerala Public Service Commission every three years. Special recruitment will be carried out if backward sections are not adequately represented in the service, he said, inaugurating the 163rd birth anniversary celebrations of social reformer Ayyankali organised here by the Cherama Sambava Development Society (CSDS) on Friday.
In the Revised Budget for 2026-27 presented in June, Mr. Satheesan had announced that “special recruitment drives will be conducted to ensure adequate representation of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in government service.”
