The Kozhikode Rural police will organise a senior citizens’ meet as part of the Operation Toofan campaign against drug trafficking at Vadakara in Kozhikode district on Monday (August 31, 2026). Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala will open the programme.

An anti-drug awareness rally will also be organised in Vadakara town ahead of the senior citizens’ gathering. K.K. Rema, MLA, will preside over the inaugural function. Vadakara MP Shafi Parambil will declare the names of Toofan Warriers. Kozhikode MP M.K. Raghavan will distribute the Toofan badges.
