Keralam govt. to crackdown on fraudulent agencies
Kerala's Home Minister has ordered a crackdown on fraudulent agencies that deceive jobseekers and students with false promises of employment or foreign education. Police are actively monitoring suspected groups following a surge in public complaints.

Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has directed the State Police Chief to take stringent action against agencies and persons who allegedly defraud jobseekers by promising employment and educational opportunities in India and abroad.
Mr. Chennithala, while interacting with mediapersons here on Friday (September 25), said the government has been receiving a growing number of complaints from people who purportedly paid large sums to agencies after being promised jobs, but were subsequently cheated.
According to the Minister, the alleged fraud is not confined to overseas employment. Complaints have also been received against groups which promise college admissions and opportunities to pursue education, including MBBS courses, in foreign countries.
