Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Bindhu Krishna has said that the Dairy Development department must overcome existing challenges to accomplish the goal of achieving self-sufficiency in milk production. She was speaking at the valedictory session of the regional seminars organised as part of the department’s annual programme.

“The government aims to increase milk production to one crore litres per day within three years, and officials should strive to achieve this target even earlier. Alongside ongoing measures to regulate cattle feed prices, fodder cultivation needs to be further promoted. Initiatives are also being implemented to attract youth to the dairy sector. To fulfil these objectives, successful models and technological advancements in the field will be effectively utilised,” said the Minister.
