The Commission took cognisance of media reports highlighting the difficulties faced by students during the conduct of the State School Games and the accident at the swimming venue.
The Commission observed that several reports had pointed to serious lapses in the arrangements for the sporting event and alleged negligence on the part of the organisers. It also noted that teachers entrusted with responsibilities at the venue appeared to have failed to discharge their duties responsibly.
