Kerala University V-C pledges to improve LLB examination process

Kerala University's Vice-Chancellor has pledged to reform the LLB examination process to improve transparency and efficiency. Changes include online question paper delivery and the implementation of centralized valuation camps.
Why it matters
These reforms address student protests regarding grading inconsistencies and aim to restore institutional credibility in academic evaluation.
Kerala University Vice-Chancellor in-charge Mohanan Kunnummal has said the conduct and evaluation of LLB examinations will be made more transparent and efficient. He also assured strict action against those found negligent in evaluating answer scripts.
The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) had staged a protest at the university, highlighting the wide variations in marks found during the revaluation of LLB examination answer sheets.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, question papers will hereafter be sent online to colleges shortly before the examination, instead of the existing practice of sending them to examination centres in advance. The university already follows this system for examinations other than LLB, he said in a statement.
