A Motor Vehicles Enforcement Inspector, P.V. Biju, who had issued a fine to a Wadakkanchery police vehicle for alleged violations of motor vehicle rules, has been transferred to the Regional Transport Office (RTO) at Ayyanthole in Thrissur, Kerala.
The transfer order directs that he should not be assigned enforcement duties until further orders.
Mr. Biju had recently come under the spotlight after imposing a ₹4,000 fine on the police vehicle during a roadside inspection, citing the absence of valid insurance and pollution under control (PUC) records.
