Kenya, August 24, 2026 - Kenya has signed a new cooperation agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to support the country’s goal to accelerate the adoption of e-mobility as well as strengthen the regulatory framework steering the industry. The agreement was signed between the State Department for Transport, led by its PS, Mohamed Daghar, and IFC during a meeting on Monday, as part of efforts to operationalise Kenya’s National E-Mobility Policy. "Today, I met with officials from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, at Transcom House to review the progress of the ongoing engagement between the State Department for Transport and IFC, and to formalise our partnership through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement,” the PS stated.
