Kelly Clarkson is taking her Brooklyn shopping controversy all the way to the bank.
The singer got into a back and forth over the weekend with Brooklyn Heights design shop, Art of Play, after accusing them of refusing to sell her a musical bird named Molly. Clarkson compared her experience to one Julia Roberts’ sex worker character encounters in Pretty Woman , saying the staff was dismissive when she was interested in making a big purchase.
Art of Play claimed that Clarkson had wanted to purchase a piece that wasn’t for sale. Online photos, however, later confirmed the sculpture had a price tag of $15,000. “You’re not only rude, you’re also a liar,” Clarkson replied in response.
