The Station House Officer (SHO) and a Sub-Inspector (SI) of Keesara police station were caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in a ₹5 lakh bribery case late on Wednesday (September 16, 2026) night. The money was allegedly demanded for granting station bail and not harassing the complainant and his friend in a case registered at the police station.

Inspector and SHO Arkapally Anjaneyulu and Sub-Inspector Dyapa Gnanender Reddy have been named as accused in the case.

According to the ACB, Mr. Reddy was caught around 11.25 p.m. on September 16 by its City Range-I unit while allegedly accepting ₹5 lakh from the complainant on Anjaneyulu’s instructions.

The tainted amount was recovered from Mr. Reddy’s possession at his instance, the agency said.
