The Thanjavur Corporation has warned that the water connection to properties in the city limits would be cut off if rain water harvesting structures were not installed or maintained properly.
In an official release, Commissioner V. Deepanavisveswari has called upon the property owners in Thanjavur and annexed areas to ensure that a rainwater harvesting system is installed on their premises and in case such facility already exist then they should ensure proper functioning of the same.
