KDF Launches Mortgage Scheme to Enhance Home Ownership for Military Personnel

The Kenya Army has launched a mortgage scheme to help military personnel access affordable housing and improve their financial welfare. The program is a partnership between the military, the government, and KCB Bank.

The Kenya Army has taken a step towards improving the financial welfare of its personnel by rolling out a sensitisation programme on the KDF Mortgage Scheme at Kahawa Garrison.
Commander Kenya Army Lieutenant General David Ketter led the briefing, during which Service Members were taken through the eligibility requirements, financing options, application procedures and repayment terms of the mortgage facility.
The scheme was established following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Kenya Defence Forces, the Civil Servants Housing Scheme Fund, the Affordable Housing Board and KCB Bank .
