The Republic of Ireland women's football team is preparing for a two-legged World Cup European play-off semi-final against Kazakhstan. The first match takes place in Astana, with the return leg scheduled for Cork.

The game in Astana is set to be played in hazy sunshine and temperatures around 10C. There will be a bit of a breeze whipping around but don’t expect to see the retractable roof used.
Ireland have a minimum of two games to play and will be hoping for four between now and early December.
Guaranteed are a pair of semi-final encounters with Kazakhstan, Friday’s clash in Astana followed by Tuesday’s return leg at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork.
In the other semi-final, Belgium host Poland on Friday evening before meeting in Gdansk on Tuesday.
