Kavitha wants benefits for Telangana activists on par with freedom fighters

Telangana Rakshana Sena chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha urged the committee constituted to identify and recognise Telangana statehood movement activists to complete its exercise without delay and adopt a humanitarian approach while framing its recommendations.
Submitting a memorandum to the committee headed by former Rajya Sabha member K. Keshava Rao, Ms. Kavitha suggested that the committee study the Union government’s Swatantrata Sainik Samman Yojana and the policy governing recognition of participants in the Hyderabad Liberation Movement while formulating eligibility criteria and benefits for Telangana movement activists.
