Kavanagh and Tshite set South African records in Copenhagen

--> Tayla Kavanagh and Tshepo Tshite set South African records at the World Athletics Road Running Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark. Kavanagh finished fourth in the women’s 5km race, while Tshite placed 10th in the men’s road mile.
The 25-year-old Tayla Kavanagh covered the distance in 14 minutes 51 seconds. She was one second behind Australia’s Rose Davies, who finished third. Ethiopia’s Likina Amebaw won in 14:41, while Kenya’s Caroline Gitonga finished second in 14:48.
