Police in Kasangati have arrested a police officer over allegations of scandalous and unprofessional conduct after a video in which she accused her commanders of mishandling a domestic violence case went viral on TikTok.

The officer, identified as Corporal Mukolerwa Fatina of the Child and Family Protection Unit in Kasangati, allegedly questioned the decision to release Arinaitwe Sylvia on bond. Arinaitwe had been arrested in connection with a domestic violence case dating back to 2023 and registered under CRB 70/2024. In a statement, police said a scuffle reportedly broke out between Arinaitwe and the arresting officer during the arrest. A second confrontation allegedly occurred at the police station, where colleagues restrained the officer.
