Karnataka Special Intensive Revision 12.5% voters left out in Belagavi district
The Election Commission of India's Special Intensive Revision process in Karnataka's Belagavi district has left 12.5% of voters excluded from the digitized rolls. Activists are calling for a deadline extension, citing a lack of public understanding regarding the documentation requirements.

As the ECI SIR in Karnataka comes to an end, the names of 87.5% of voters have been digitised in Belagavi district .
There are 41,07,000 voters in the 18 assembly constituencies in the district.
As many as 5.13 lakh voters have been marked in Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate and others (ASDDO) category.
Using the 2002 SIR documents and existing electoral rolls, Booth Level Officers have distributed 41,07,000 enumeration forms. Of these, around 38,43,780 have been mapped. Around 35,94,820 forms were returned. Of them, 35,89,825 have been digitised. As many as 4,455 forms are yet to be digitised.
