Karnataka: PM Modi to inaugurate four redeveloped Amrit Bharat Railway Stations on July 17
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate four redeveloped railway stations in Karnataka under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The project aims to modernize infrastructure and improve passenger amenities at a cost of over ₹79 crore.

Karnataka will add four more modernised railway stations as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to virtually inaugurate the redeveloped railway stations at Alnavar, Badami, Bantwal and Koppal on July 17, under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS).
The four stations have been redeveloped at a total cost of over ₹79 crore. Alnavar has been upgraded at a cost of ₹17.2 crore, Badami at ₹15.10 crore, Bantwal at ₹26.18 crore and Koppal at ₹21.14 crore, according to South Western Railway (SWR).
The inauguration is part of a nation-wide programme in which the Prime Minister will dedicate 75 redeveloped railway stations across the country. Earlier, foundation stones were laid for the redevelopment of more than 1,000 railway stations under the ABSS.
In Karnataka, Gadag, Dharwad, Gokak Road, Munirabad and Bagalkot stations were inaugurated in May 2025.
