The High Court of Karnataka on Monday declined to grant anticipatory bail to Shivashankarappa S. Sahukar, suspended Chairperson of the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), in the criminal case registered against him in connection with the alleged illegalities in the process of selection to the 400 posts of veterinary officers in the Animal Husbandry Department.

Justice S. Vishwajith Shetty passed the order while dismissing the petition filed by Mr. Sahukar seeking anticipatory bail. He approached the High Court after the Sessions Court, on August 11, had rejected his plea for anticipatory bail.
