Karnataka Examinations Authority considers introducing three-layer OMR sheets for recruitment exams to prevent malpractices

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is considering the introduction of three-layered Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets to effectively prevent malpractices during various recruitment examinations.

As per the proposal, the original sheet is to be submitted to the KEA after the exam concludes. Second copy will be the student copy and is handed over to the candidates. The third copy is to be stored in the strong rooms at the offices of the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in the respective districts.

The KEA successfully implemented triple-layered OMR sheets on a trial basis during the recent Police Constable (KSRP) recruitment examination. Consequently, it is now considering adopting the same system for future recruitment exams.
