Karnataka: Civil police constable exam on Aug. 2 under CCTV surveillance
The Karnataka Examinations Authority is implementing strict security measures, including CCTV surveillance and mobile jammers, for the upcoming civil police constable recruitment exam. Over 450,000 candidates are expected to appear for the test across 884 centers.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct the written examination for recruitment to 3,991 Civil Police Constable posts on August 2, 2026, with tight security arrangements in place.
H. Prasanna, Executive Director, KEA, said that 4,54,532 candidates will appear for the examination, which will be held at 884 centres across the State. Strict security measures have been put in place at all examination centres.
The recruitment includes 3,395 posts under the Non-Kalyana Karnataka cadre and 596 posts under the Kalyana Karnataka cadre. A total of 3,77,861 candidates have applied under the Non-Kalyana Karnataka cadre, while 76,684 candidates have applied under the Kalyana Karnataka cadre. Arrangements have been made for all applicants to write the examination.
On Sunday, the examination for all candidates will be held from 10.30 a.m. to 12 noon, while candidates under the Kalyana Karnataka cadre will have an additional examination from 4 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
