Congress MLA Yashavantarayagoud V Patil announced in Indi on Wednesday (August 5, 2026) that he had decided to withdraw his resignation to the post of MLA , following advice of his followers.
He had tendered his resignation after saying that he was upset at not being made a minister .
At a meeting of his followers, Mr. Patil said that a large number of his followers and well wishers had advised him to continue serving the constituency as a legislator, despite not being inducted into the Cabinet. He said he would write a letter to the Assembly secretary saying he would withdraw it. He said he would explain the reasons behind his decision at a press meet in Vijayapura on August 6.
