Kargil veteran urges Governor to promote ‘Each One Save One’ campaign

Kargil War veteran, retired Group Captain Gurrapu Jagadishwer met Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Wednesday, and sought his support for promoting the suicide-prevention message ‘Each One Save One’ across the State and the country.
Mr. Rao emphasised the need to make suicide-prevention helpline numbers more visible to the public, particularly Telangana’s 104 helpline and the national Tele-MANAS helpline (14416). He suggested displaying the numbers at airports, railway stations, bus stations, Metro pillars and other public places, besides promoting them through television, radio, Doordarshan, digital displays and cinema.
He also requested the Governor to view his award-winning film September-10 , based on suicide prevention, and dedicate it to Telangana and the nation to facilitate wider dissemination.
