Kanja urges 2,500 GSU recruits to uphold integrity

Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja has urged more than 2,500 General Service Unit (GSU) recruits who are set to graduate this week recruits to uphold integrity, impartiality and respect for human rights as they prepare to begin their duties across the country.

Kanja said effective policing requires far more than physical ability and technical knowledge, stressing the need for accountability, continuous training and a firm commitment to serve the public with dignity.

The recruits have completed nine months of intensive training and are now ready for their passing-out parade and deployment to support national security strategies.
