North Melbourne defeated Sydney 10.11 (71) to 2.4 (16) at Arden Street.
Melbourne was too strong for Collingwood, winning 6.6 (42) to 2.9 (21) at Victoria Park.
West Coast beat cross-town rivals Fremantle 5.9 (39) to 4.3 (27) in Perth.

In the first quarter at Arden Street Oval on Sunday, Morphett looked to make a tackle but collapsed in the lead-up.
