Kane Chronicles Series Based on Rick Riordan Books in Works at Disney+

Disney+ is developing a series adaptation of Rick Riordan's 'Kane Chronicles' book trilogy, with Angela Robinson attached to produce. This project follows the success of the 'Percy Jackson' series on the platform after a previous attempt at a film adaptation by Netflix was cancelled.
Why it matters
It highlights the ongoing trend of major streaming platforms leveraging established young adult book franchises to build interconnected mythological universes.

The streamer and 20th Television are developing a series based on Riordan’s Kane Chronicles book trilogy. Riordan and Angela Robinson ( True Blood, D.E.B.S. ) are teaming to adapt the books.
Should it go to series, Kane Chronicles - about a brother and sister who are descended from Egyptian pharaohs and who use magic - would join Percy Jackson and the Olympians , also based on books by Riordan, on Disney+. Percy Jackson’ s third season is set to premiere in November.
