Kanchi Math Head in Madurai city
The Kanchi Math Head Sri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal was accorded a rousing reception at the Kanchi Mutt on Besant Road in Madurai on Monday.
A large number of disciples of the Math and the general public had assembled and sought the blessings of the Pontiff.
According to the reception committee members, the Pontiff would camp in Madurai city till September 30 and is scheduled to perform special pujas at the Sri Math here in Chokkikulam.
The Math Head is also visiting Melur in Madurai district on October 1 where the Swamigal would address the disciples on the Kanchi Math premises.
